2008 Show News
The Central Carolina CKCS Club is now at work on our first independent stand alone specialty to be held on Friday September 12, 2008, at the Moore County show site in Pinehurst, North Carolina, the day before their two day show. Our judges will be Veronica Hull, from England, for breed, John Gammon, from Tennessee, for sweepstakes, Jane Forsyth, from Pinehurst, for junior handling, and Victoria Brown, from Halifax, North Carolina, for obedience. We will be offering trophies and rosettes for the major wins, and trophies for first place in each class. Gwen Wells, our trophy chair, is again hard at work selecting lovely trophies and soliciting sponsors for those classes. In addition to the show activities, we are planning special events for our exhibitors. They will include an informal conversation with the judges on the day after the show; a parade of title holders and rescue dogs on the day of the show; a gathering at the nearby home of one of our members for all exhibitors and friends; and vendors for food and dog supplies to be available on the day of the show.
We hope to draw a large entry from a wide geographic area, and expect that this show will be great fun for all participants. Plan now to join us.
